Often in your reports you will want to compare and contrast how different types of users are spending time in your app. This article explains how to create Segments that break down your audience by their subscriber type so you can compare how direct subscribers, users who have only purchased content through the app store and unknown users behave. *These segments are applicable to Pugpig Publish customers*
STEPS
- Click on +Add Segment then select +NEW SEGMENT
Then create the following segments:
SUBSCRIBER STATUS: EXISTING SUBCRIBERS
- Name your segment something like 'Subscriber Status: Existing Subscribers' and then under Advanced > Conditions add the condition Custom Dimensions > Pugpig Subscriber Status > Exactly Matches > 'ExistingSubscriber'.

SUBSCRIBER STATUS: NONE
- Name your segment something like 'Subscriber Status: None' and then under Advanced > Conditions add the condition Pugpig Subscriber Status > Exactly Matches > 'None'.
- Or click here to import this segment directly to your Property
SUBSCRIBER STATUS: ANDROID STORE SUBSCRIBER
- Name your segment something like 'Subscriber Status: Android Store Subscriber' and then under Advanced > Conditions add the condition Pugpig Subscriber Status > Exactly Matches > 'GooglePlaySubscriber' or Pugpig Subscriber Status > Exactly Matches > 'AmazonSubscriber'.

SUBSCRIBER STATUS: iTUNES SUBSCRIBER
- Name your segment something like 'Subscriber Status: iTunes Subscriber' and then under Advanced > Conditions add the condition Pugpig Subscriber Status > Exactly Matches > 'iTunesSubscriber'.

SUBSCRIBER STATUS: ANDROID SINGLE ISSUE PURCHASE
- Name your segment something like 'Subscriber Status: Android Single Issue Purchase' and then under Advanced > Conditions add the condition Pugpig Subscriber Status > Exactly Matches > 'AmazonSinglePurchase' or Pugpig Subscriber Status > Exactly Matches > 'GooglePlaySinglePurchase'.

SUBSCRIBER STATUS: iTUNES SINGLE ISSUE PURCHASE
- Name your segment something like 'Subscriber Status: iTunes Single Issue Purchase' and then under Advanced > Conditions add the condition Pugpig Subscriber Status > Exactly Matches > 'iTunesSinglePurchase'.

Now you have created your new segments these can be applied to any reports on the Google Analytics dashboard:
