To create an Article go to Articles > Add Article
Main title field - this is an internal title, it doesn’t get shown in the content.

Select a layout option from the dropdown. To view the alternate styles select one layout, click either ‘Publish’ or ‘Update’ and then ‘Preview Changes’. A new tab will be launched showing the article you have created. You can then view the various other layouts by selecting the other options and updating and previewing changes.

Rich text editor field - Paste the main chunk of your content in here, you can use various type styles such as bold/italic etc. You will also be able to add YouTube videos, inline boxouts and dropcaps to the content.

Add inline images - use the ‘Add Media’ button, top left of the rich text editor, and upload or select an existing image. You can add a caption to the image in the panel on the right of the media library. You do not need to apply any styles to the image. Images should not be any wider than 1536px and should not be higher that 2000px.
Positioning Images
It is now possible to use images with text wrap as well as our original full width image options.
- Use the Add Media button to open the Media Library and select the required image.
- Before you click ‘Insert into Post’, you can configure the options for the image using the ‘Attachment Display Settings’.
Alignment Options: Left | Right | Centre | None
Use these Alignment options to position your image on your page. Note: text will wrap around the left and right options on screen sizes above 640px.
By selecting ‘None’ you will be able to use our images just like you have been able to in previous versions of Express.
Adding a link to an image
To add a link to an image, select ‘Custom URL’ from the ‘Link to’ menu and enter the full url into the field provided. This will make the image clickable in the browser and will disable the tap to zoom functionality by default.

Add inline videos (Youtube and Brightcove only) - by pasting in the url of a Brightcove or YouTube video, alternatively use the 'Add Video' button which allows you to add the video via URL or YouTube ID. This will add the video into the editor and render a preview.

Add inline charts (plugin enabled) - using the 'Add Charts' button located on the text editor. Once a chart has been created (how to create a chart), the chart ID will need to be entered into the field provided and a placeholder will be added into the editor. You will be able to view the charts when previewing the article. Note: if you cannot see the 'Add charts' plugin or the 'Charts' menu option you will need to enable the plugin.

Add inline galleries - use the ‘Add Media’ button, top left of the rich text editor, and click ‘Create Gallery’, which then allows you to select and order images for your gallery. The gallery is a tap-to-full-screen gallery, which means that one image shows on the article page, and then when tapped inside an app

Linking between articles - In some cases you may want to link between pages in your edition. To do this all you have to do is select or add a link to another article page in the same edition using the 'Link' button in the text editor

Add Products - Refer to Products that have been created in the Product Content Type, and show information about the products on this article page. When clicked in an app, they will launch the Pugpig Shopping modal. Read More
Back to top - Enable / disable the 'Back To Top' option on per page basis. When clicked this will scroll the article to the top.
Global override setting available in Customiser > Content Settings > Override Back to Top Setting. This option allows you to hide or show 'Back to Top' on all previous and future articles.
Contents Settings - These settings determine how this article is represented on the contents page (if you chose to use one) and the native table of contents.
Select an Edition Tag - Edition Tags are used to associate content with editions. Create the edition first, give it an edition tag and then give all the content you want in that edition, the same edition tag.
Select a Section - Sections are shown in the native TOC and the contents page.
Publish the article - doesn’t mean it will go live immediately, but it is necessary to preview the article.
