Downloading an app from App Center

At Pugpig, we supply iOS and Android app builds through the third party system, App Center by Microsoft. This allows clients to download app versions outside the app stores, it is ideal to preview demos, sign-off app updates and trial test apps.

Creating an App Center account

Before downloading from App Center for the first time, you will need to create a free account using a desktop computer. Please visit https://appcenter.ms/ and follow the registration process. 

You will only be able to download app builds which have been allocated your email address so please make sure you have provided this to your Pugpig onboarder.

Downloading for iOS (first time or first time on individual device)

1. Open the link provided by your onboarder with an iOS device (iPhone or iPad)

2. Click +Add Device to add a new device to the account

3. Click Allow to download the configuration profile

4. Click Close when the profile has downloaded

5. Click out and go into device settings and click on Profile Downloaded 

6. Install the Kaldor profile

7. Enter your passcode or accept with another password type

8. Please select Install to complete the downloaded

9. Your account will now register the (new) device and take you back to App Center automatically

10. Select Install to install the app which will appear on your device

Downloading for iOS (on device previously used to download from App Center)

1. Open the link provided by your onboarder with an iOS device (iPhone or iPad)

2. Scroll to check device is registered for the account

3. Click I'm Good to progress 

4. Click OK to continue

5. Click INSTALL

6. Click Install again!

Downloading for Android 

1. Open the link provided by your onboarder with an Android device

2. Click DOWNLOAD

3. Click Download on Download file message

4. Select Open file once download has completed

5. Select the build

6. Now Install the downloaded file as an app build

7. Click Open to view app build

TROUBLESHOOTING

Can't see the App Center project?

• All email accounts need inviting by a Pugpig onboarder per App Center project (please contact support@pugpig.com to be invited to a project).
• Client accounts will likely need to accept invites via a App Center email invite, these often fall into junk and trash folders.
