About Zendesk
Zendesk is a useful tool for clients to provide increased user support and engagement. We recommend clients use the Zendesk Team support package (https://www.zendesk.com/product/pricing/#support) shown below;
Pugpig support three Zendesk functions; Help desk, Tickets and Chat.
Help desk is a management solution offering customizable tools to build customer service portal, knowledge base and online communities.
Tickets are the means through which your end users (customers) communicate with agents in Zendesk Support.
Chat is live chat software that empowers your business to anticipate customer inquiries, reduce wait times, and increase. Chat is recommended only when a client has support staff who can manage on a daily basis.
Publish Zendesk
With Publish, you can add Zendesk integrations into the storefront menu, as icons or within a dropdown including customisable icons and wording as demonstrated below;
There are three areas to setup Zendesk for Publish, firstly the client is required to setup a Zendesk account. Once this has been created, you will require the following details for the Zendesk add-on from the client (which will appear in Membership > Zendesk) and also to integrate it into the build as demonstrated below.

Bolt Zendesk
In Bolt, Zendesk integrates into the settings areas with customisable wording as demonstrated below;
There are three areas to setup Zendesk for Publish, firstly the client is required to setup a Zendesk account. Once this has been created, you will require the following details for the Zendesk add-on from the client (which will appear in Membership > Zendesk) and also to integrate it into the build as demonstrated below.

Distribution settings
In Custom Settings Groups, add the the Zendesk functions you require and custom naming;
Then go into Custom Tabs and select the dropdown, in this example it is group '3'.
Fun Fact: If anything in the client’s Mobile SDK settings are changed (turning a feature on, for example) it changes the API token and Client id so Zendesk stops working in the app and will need to be updated in Distribution.
