We strongly believe that nothing should get in the way of your users reading your content. We've worked hard to make your content work on different platforms and devices, and that naturally extends to utilising the accessibility capabilities of these platforms.
Accessibility is a multi-faceted initiative that is shared three ways, by ourselves, by the customer (you) and by the platforms themselves, such as Apple and Android. For our part we aim to stay abreast of the capabilities offered by these platforms and utilise them, where necessary, across our product suite. Broadly, this extends to support for:
- VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android)
- Text resize and bold text
- Screen zoom
- Colour inversion and correction
- Switch control (iOS)
- Guided Access (iOS)
These features are supported to various degrees across our products, and part of our commitment includes ensuring we maintain documentation on what these capabilities are. You can find documentation for our two principal products here:
Accessibility in Pugpig Publish
These are living documents that will be updated as we extend and adapt our capabilities, and new documentation will be added as our product suite expands.
Outside of the accessibility commitments to our actual products, we’re also aware that content itself needs to be optimised for accessibility. We’re able to advise on where the division between product and content lies, and in many cases on what changes need to be made in order for your content to work as expected with the above-mentioned features.
